How to Track Affiliate Earnings and Refunds

Pending, approved, reversed: understand affiliate statuses and reconcile what you're actually paid.
Affiliate dashboards may show clicks, conversions, pending commission, approved commission, rejected transactions and reversals. These figures represent different stages and should not be treated as cash already received.
Understand the statuses
- Pending: a sale was tracked but is not yet confirmed.
- Approved: the merchant validated the sale.
- Rejected or reversed: cancelled, returned or not eligible.
- Paid: money sent to you.
Keep your own records
Keep the transaction ID, date, order value, commission, status and reversal reason where permitted. A simple spreadsheet is enough.
Reconcile payouts
Compare payouts against your bank or payment-provider records. Ask the program about any differences.
Plan for refunds
Expect some reversals, especially for products with return periods. Do not spend pending commissions as if they were cash.
On MoneyEarn
Your MoneyEarn wallet shows pending and available amounts separately, with the source of each entry. Shop earnings are added only after the seller verifies the sale, and cancelled orders do not earn.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my commission still pending?
Many programs wait until the return period ends before approving a sale.
Should I count pending commissions as income?
No. Treat only approved and paid amounts as real income.
