Online Tutoring: Teach From Home

Online tutoring lets you teach students anywhere using video calls. Parents in Pakistan and Pakistanis abroad look for tutors for school subjects, Quran, Urdu and English.

What you can teach

School and O/A Level subjects, entry test preparation, Quran and Arabic, Urdu for overseas children, spoken English, computer skills, cooking, art or music.

Tools you need

A laptop or phone, stable internet, a headset and a quiet space. Zoom, Google Meet or WhatsApp video work well. A digital pen tablet helps for maths.

Finding students

Tell your network, post in local and overseas Pakistani community groups, create a Facebook page, and use tutoring platforms that accept Pakistani tutors.

Setting fees

Fees depend on the subject, level and whether students are local or overseas. Charge per hour or monthly packages. Ask for fees in advance for monthly classes.

Teach well

Plan lessons, give practice work, track progress and share updates with parents. Good results bring referrals.

Safety and professionalism

Keep sessions professional, involve parents for younger students and follow child safety good practice. Never share personal information inappropriately.

Grow further

Record lessons into a course, create worksheets as digital products or start group classes to earn more per hour.

Comparing tutoring platforms

Compare platform fees, how students find you, scheduling, safeguarding requirements and payment rules. Prepare a short sample lesson. Use reliable video and audio equipment and protect students' personal information. Earnings depend on subject demand, credentials, reviews and available hours, and you should never claim qualifications you do not have.
